The NC PPSB requires mandated training programs, and eligibility requirements for those individuals desiring to become Unarmed or Armed Security Officers.
General Qualifications
- Clean Criminal Record
- Mentally Competent
- Honorable Discharge if you served in the Military
- At least 18 years old for Unarmed Security Officer Registration
- At least 21 years old for Armed Security Officer Registration
Once you successfully complete the course(s) your employer will need to submit fingerprints and ID Photos, References, etc. to the state for a complete background check prior to completing the registration process.

Announcing our addition of a second Judgmental and Marksmanship Laser Simulator Range.
Realistic, Real Time Training for Use of Force, Concealed Carry, Personal Protection, Law Enforcement, and Security Officer, Marksmanship and Judgmental Response Qualification.
- Realistically sized, and weighted Glock style Laser Pistols
- Real time, life sized, audio/video scenarios
- Randomly branch to different outcomes
- Immediately review the scenario and shot placement at the end of the drill.
The Range allows us to recreate an indoor range with timed, turning targets (B27, Hostage Taking, etc.) as well as specific courses of fire (NC PPSB Day Fire, Night Fire, Concealed Carry, etc.) for up to 4 shooters simultaneously.
Real Time, our newest system allows us to create live action video scenarios allowing the student to interact with a live individual using real time de-escalation and threat response strategies. We can use videos taken from your facility, indoors or outdoors, to create interactive training scenarios specific to your needs.

Be prepared to take notes!
Class starts promptly at 8AM
Payment must be by credit card, cash, or company account at the beginning of class.
No eating during class. Drinks are OK.
There are several fast food restaurants nearby.

NOTE: You must be at least 21 years of age and currently hold NC PPSB Unarmed Security Officer Registration to attend this course
CLASS SCHEDULE (24 Hours)
Mon. Classroom 8AM - 5PM
Tues. Classroom 08AM - 5PM
Wed. Classroom 0800 - Noon
Live Range 6PM - 8PM
You must bring your the equipment listed below. (No handgun or ammunition) to class every day.
Wed. - You must bring your qualifying handgun and a cleaning kit for it. Handgun and Ammo must remain in your vehicle unless otherwise instructed by the Instructor. No exceptions!
No live ammunition allowed on the premises!
